I feel the same way when I hear the word "impeach", but not for the same reason that you do. Republicans will never impeach and remove Trump because they support what he is doing for the most part. Democrats, through lack of numbers (not corporate-control), cannot impeach and remove Trump. Removal requires 2/3 of the Senate. So, it is an impossible ask, yet it frustrates people when they can't get it.
When Democrats regain control of Congress, Trump's presidency is basically over. Republicans won't be able to pass anything. Investigations into the corruption of Trump and his crew will be ongoing until the end of his presidency. Raskin will be the Judiciary Chair and Robert Garcia will chair the Oversight Committee. Trump will never know a moment of peace.

Has anyone confirmed if TSA checks actually posted? Saying and doing is not the same thing. Probably a sooner check/pay run if it was prestaged, not even sure if that is possible.
It’s not just that most of the DHS funding could have been resumed via reconciliation by the Republican majority. TSA and most of DHS could as easily have been funded too by just agreeing to hold CBP and ICE to the same laws and standards applied to other policing agencies. The public wants that, decency demands it, and still the Republicans kiss Trump’s rump and blame the other party.
It is a perfectly reasonable demand. Republicans won't do anything without the approval of Trump. I was shocked that Thune had to ask Trump if it was OK if they funded TSA. Republicans have abdicated their congressional role. They are getting paid to do nothing.

Trump likes to demonstrate what he likes to think of Dictator like control. He wants people to believe he can take away and he can give. He needs the attention and perception of adulation and fear. It is actually a tragic time in U.S. history to put up with his delusional view if reality. Many millions have suffered worry about health issues and their insurance, rents and costs of ownership problematic, heat up, food up, millions on a conflict/war only Trump seems to want. Many countries are struggling from oil shortage he actually does not care and has publicly stated that. So demonstrations, and letters to your politicians, and volunteering all help. But I think it is pretty clear he should be impeached. What else needs to happen? It is already outrageous. Both Republican and Democratic groups need to see this is actually a "clear and present " danger to this Nation.
There are dozens of reasons to impeach Trump but since it requires a simple majority in the House and 2/3 of the Senate to convict and remove, it isn't possible. Republicans do not care about his lawlessness. Democrats don't have the numbers.
