That crosses all the lines luv. I have repeatedly made my opinions known to my senator. I have never threatened, described any ill wishes or anything of the like. "my" senator is former USN, gop, southern boy and stands by djturd. All because I suggested many of we elders have suggested doing away with congress and senate, or having djturd pay their salaries and employment pkgs. seeing as how they work for him, and we could get our taxes back.
I sent an opinion email this last week, and it was denied. WHY? Well, a "threat was perceived" in it's content. LMAO! I am older than dirt. Was a nurse for 43 years, no car, on SSDI. Do not own a weapon and out of my state 3 times my entire life! Straight. Raise 2 decent kids with an opposite sex partner, now gone. Use a walker and low profile life. But I'm a threat......I need an orthopod and a urologist. It seems I may have a package far more "cluttered" than his, cause he's missing sumpthin: or two. Did I mention I am not a Dem and he is gop?
Like I told my kids. Jail will be cheaper on them then a nursing home, and if after all these generations I get sent away, WTF. Always did wanna "see the old country". Wobble amongst the headstones. But as divergent as most families are. which country? If "Godforsaken" place, can use my skills to help. Sweet cheese I hate these f---ing "people".
Dearest Debra, given that expressing any opinion that is not in lockstep with the current administration is an act of domestic terrorism, I suspect many of us who still have two brain cells to rub together fit that definition. At least I know I'm in good company!

Don't think the dawning of Aquarius of my generation's youth was "this", even though 1984/Orwell was required reading in my high school. At least we learned to pay attention. During the First World War, there was a fellow who stood at the docks telling soldiers heading for Europe on the ships "not to go" whereas during the Vietnam Conflict/War, Dr. Benjamin Spock told soldiers "If I were you, I wouldn't go." The first one violated the Alien and Sedition Acts whereas the "Baby Doctor" did not. Obviously, David isn't violating any law. It's like saying "Kill Trump" as compared to "I wish Trump would die." We all know that Trump is a pathological liar and has proven this as he lies on the average 26 times per day and that's just one of the issues with him. In my book, "ALCATRAZ AWAITS: The Legacy of Donald Trump" I have him tried, convicted and sentenced to a solitary life on The Rock. It's basically wishful thinking and was fun to write and I think a fun read but so far, I'm not on the same list as is David. Damn! What Trump doesn't realize is that the more negativity he places on something like David's book, the more free advertising it creates. Keep up the good fight for as Biden said, "The soul of democracy."

The cleverness of modern authoritarianism is that it does not always burn the book. Sometimes it just makes the publisher nervous, the advertiser cautious, the employer skittish, and the journalist tired of paying lawyers. Then everyone congratulates themselves because no official censorship order was ever signed. The state merely pointed at the critic and let fear complete the paperwork. That is the line for me: criticism becomes dangerous when power stops answering the argument and starts trying to make the speaker unemployable, isolated, or afraid. The proper response is exactly what you suggest. Make every attempted silencing campaign an involuntary subscription drive.
I believe that line has already been crossed. However there are many people who see it for what it is. Trump is the biggest bully there is and yes he will say things that aren't true. I hope that a lot of people see it for what it is honestly. We're the next generation of democratic socialist or whatever we want to call this movement. It's still democratic just unsure if I'm saying it correctly. Still we should not let Trump interfere in our daily lives or dictate what we should do at all.
Criticism is inappropriate when it is being made for reasons other than improvement, without the permission of the person it is intended for, and is unkind. ✅✅✅
