Concerns are growing over the possibility of U.S. ground troops being sent to Iran. Senators like Blumenthal and Warren, after a classified briefing, warned about potential escalation and foreign involvement from Russia and China. The Trump administration is misleading about the war’s goals, keeping “all options on the table” while publicly signaling caution.
The Trump White House reportedly ignored Ukraine’s offer to share battlefield-tested solutions against Iranian-style drones. Ukraine presented low-cost interceptors and air defense strategies months ago, but no follow-through occurred. Now the U.S. struggles against cheap Iranian drones using expensive equipment, wasting taxpayer money and putting lives at risk.
Gas prices have surged 32 percent in just a few months, rising from $2.73 to $3.60 per gallon, with Trump-supporting states hit hardest. This spike contradicts Trump’s promises of lower costs and affordability, leaving voters frustrated. Trump’s options, from temporary fixes to blame-shifting, would only offer limited relief.
Karoline Leavitt struggled to justify claims from the Trump White House, including assertions about Iran’s Tomahawk missiles and imminent attacks, which lack expert support. She overstated progress in Iran and gave only rough estimates of U.S. troop injuries.
Democrats have now won their tenth consecutive special election, flipping a Republican seat in New Hampshire that Trump had previously carried by nine points. Bobbi Boudman defeated Republican Dale Fincher 52–48, despite limited funding and no outside support.
Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts reveal chaos in the White House as his war in Iran continues. His posts are full of “ifs” and conflicting statements about mine-laying in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, he touts the opening of one refinery as a major energy victory despite spiking gas prices.
Finally, Senator Mark Warner, Democrat from Virginia, joins us to discuss why he believes the Iran conflict is a war of choice with unclear objectives and poor planning by the Trump administration.
