This is spot on. He thinks, he does, he sees, re falls back. Its all smoke and mirrors and we have one of two choices. Either he is deeply flawed and just trying things on to see if they fit, or he is deeply flawed and someone around him (Wiles, Miller et al) tries things on to see if they fit. Neither is a good course and both are wildly dangerous. It could also be a third thing as stated by another commentator. Hes signaling his billionaire buddies and manipulating markets fir their benefit. All I know is at this juncture we are cooked.
Speaking as someone who does not like surprises and likes things to just work, I have met people who prefer to deal with crisis, and will deliberately not take precautions to avoid the chaos.
Trump has never studied. Never learned any skill, other than 'handling people'. Has the unearned confidence born of ignorance, incompetence and who has never suffered real consequences.
PLUS, Trump has learned the chaos he generates lets him get away with a lot of his crimes, mainly as distractions both during and after the crime.
In short, it seems to have worked for him, but of course the consequences still hit, mainly people who Trump does not really care about, which means everyone other than himself.
This results in a country in decline, which lowers his polling numbers, which triggers his panic fear of being removed from office and going to jail.
So Trump does what he has always done. Attack, Deny, Deflect, Vengeance, Intimidate, Throw tantrums and demand his minions solve his problems for him.
Noeme and Bondi failed him, despite / due to following his orders. He will flail, he will panic, he will try to break every rule, use every lever of power he can pretend he has.
Another side of this is: insider trading. He and those close to him know that his announcement will affect the stock market. They invest accordingly and then reverse their action just before he anounces his reversal of plans.

He has no concept of reality; he cannot negotiate; he is clueless about economics, regulations, business, taxes, finances, and laws; he doesn’t understand science or energy production or the environment or conservation; and he’s out of touch with most of the issues that are important to Americans. When he operated in the world of private business, his army of corrupt lawyers would run interference for him with countless lawsuits and appeals (and bribery, I’m sure) so he could get away with multiple bankruptcies, bad credit, unpaid loans, falsifying records, insurance fraud, code violations, and cheating on his taxes. The attitude of “So what are you going to do, sue me?” eventually fails when you are president of this country.
He has done nothing but cause chaos for most Americans, while constantly stating he has done an amazing job. This is the first President in American History on every level.
