David questions how society should respond to Trump supporters after his term ends. The debate is over whether their support is a forgivable political choice or something that requires lasting accountability.
Eric Trump appeared on television promoting a $24 million Pentagon robotics contract for his company. This raises serious concerns about corruption and nepotism, and points to broader concerns about fairness in government procurement.
Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 32%, with 63% disapproving, continuing a year-long decline from 43%. Economic approval sits at 31%, and independents show a large disapproval gap that signals broader electoral weakness.
Tim Miller directly challenged pastor Doug Wilson by listing his public statements targeting Black people, gay people, immigrants, and Jews, and questioning his use of the pastor title. The exchange focused on substance over labels, removing the deference often given to religious figures and focusing on the positions.
Trump advisor Kevin Hassett pointed to declining egg and beef prices as evidence of economic improvement while ignoring other expenses. Meanwhile, gas prices remain around four dollars, housing is unaffordable, and overall food costs are on the rise.
Finally, Rep. Mike Lawler responded to questions about Trump by shifting focus to Barack Obama and the Libya conflict in Iran. Katy Tur pressed him to stay on topic, but got no direct answers.
