It is imperative to understand "inner Trump." He is a little boy who is terrified that he is going to be injured. (This is a bit psychoanalytical and Freudian but stay with me.) He has never "grown up" and spiritually matured so that this "little boy" inside of him feels safe. I am sure he pooped and peed in his pants until he was beyond those years where that should have stopped. He feels profound shame and, in order to quell those terrifying feelings of inadequacy he does what he does to make himself feel "whole," important. Ordinarily, you and me and everybody else, it doesn't make a difference... we marry, divorce, drink, use drugs, have ups and downs, get therapy or not, but with Trump, he has amassed the largest amount of money and "pulpit" in the history of the World...so, his fundamental flaws, his terrors, his absolute inability to have safe and healthy relationships produced what we see. As is so often the case, and I see this in my criminal defense work, folks like Trump spend their lives in prison...or commit suicide. For the World, he is collapsing in a spiritual and emotional sense, his lies are fracturing his life. Absent a physical disaster (stroke, massive myocardial infarction, trauma) which would create an immediate existential issue, this will continue until Election Day. But this is what you must understand about "Donny." When he invokes abusive and meaningless tariffs world-wide, he feels a load of poop in his pants and urine dribbling down his legs and everyone is laughing and ridiculing him. Makes sense?
A reasonable very short summary of a man whom countless books will be written about.
The reality is so very much worse, with so very many contributing factors from so many sources. Previous famous people, presidents and others, had their flaws, their failings, scandals which crippled the arc of their lives. In the age of Trump, we call that Tuesday.
There will be stories about what made Trump the 'man' he is today.
There will be stories about how people reacted to him, enabled him and opposed him.
There will be stories about how we survived him and what we learned about ourselves and how to prevent another one from doing so much damage again.
Yes, any person not so 'protected' as Trump would have long since been removed from society (jail as an example) so he could no longer cause harm to others.
To me, the real story is how the media, the people, failed to see Trump for who he is. Sorry, but for anyone paying attention, it was kind of obvious, even if we did not know about his childhood.
2018, 19 I was getting so pissed at the under reporting of donnie🇷🇺 by the establishment press that I really felt the urge to throw my TV in the trash! Started flipping channels one morning and discovered Pakman on FSTV and my life changed for the better! I hadn't heard of FSTV until I found it in December of 2019 and it's been an incredibly refreshing journey of reality. Even with how ugly everything has been, I feel grateful to know truth and facts, it's the only reason I've been surviving, because my brain works in one mode, logic. Let's get this done, together!!!
I became aware of Trump when he started his run for President. It was obvious to me how flawed he was. I agree with you that the sycophants jumped on his wagon with glimmers of $$$. Truth will win out...soon. It's time to "pay the piper."
Sure thing. It's NPD. Painfully clear to anyone who has had the misfortune of knowing a sufferer intimately, but out of focus for those who have not. (Not that I'd wish it on my worst enemy!)
I am of the opinion and hope that soon, the one that will bring the end to this disaster of an administration, Hillary Clinton. The Repubs are forcing her to testify and she is ready. Sic em
While I doubt it will make a substantial difference, I do think she will do well.
The one big thing she MIGHT be able to do is shine a spotlight on Trump and his cronies.
Unfortunately for at least three decades Republicans have been conditioned to demonize Hillary Clinton. They could not demonize Bill, because he was a man, a southerner. But a strong, smart woman? She was Custom made to be demonized in their culture.
The only remaining supporters of Trump at this time are the haters that want Trump to do exactly what he is doing, and the few remaining loyal Republicans still treating the party like a religion, who have not yet been woken up to what it has clearly become. Daily more and more are peeling away, and by November any that remain will be those who like what they see.
Very well laid out to see the theatre the Stupublicans are performing wasting our tax dollars after stealing helpful government departments. The cruelty continues till more human beings wake up. Thank you for a fantastic breakdown of our society & situation 👍
Trump is a bully and a con man by nature. Trump wants absolute control because he is afraid of going to jail. Trump is the one who surrounded himself with those accomplices. Trump talked about these damaging and sadistic agendas during his campaign.
He's into stagecraft. Consider the scene in Chicago with armed men in military attire rappelling out of helicopters on an apartment building they claimed was full of Tren de Aragua gang members. They marched people out, including children, scantily clothed, ransacked their apartments, and hauled them off in restraints. Ultimately I think no one was charged, but there was spectacle and trauma. He's mean and hateful, but not an ideologue. Stephen Miller, other other hand, is mean and hateful AND trying to mold the world.
Yes, Trump is not an ideologue, he is transactional, self centered, greedy, insecure, frightened, stupid... and willing to change the world just to feed his ego.
Ideologues tend to have a vision, a dream of how the world should be. Often they are intolerant of even partial disagreement. Sometimes the logical consequence of their vision is damage to a great number of people.
I do not trust Ideologues and I do not trust Trump. I much prefer people with compassion and a desire towards pragmatic solutions to real problems in order to help others. If they happen to have an Ideology that fits that approach, great! None of those in this current administration fit that mold.
I no longer worry about who has true evil in their heart, or are simply greedy and / or stupid. I judge them by their actions. If they do things that make the world worse, I oppose them. I do not seek harm to them, but I do not tolerate their ability to continue doing harm.
Yes. Republicans have lied long before Trump came along. The racists, the haters, the anti immigrants, the culture war became a war of violence long before Trump 'came down the escalator'. They lied, they cheated, fomented hate, business as usual.
Their media was more than biased, it was hate speech packaged like it was news coverage.
If people paid attention, the only surprising thing about Trump was the ready acceptance by all Republicans and even worse, the normalizing of Trump's overt criminality and other unacceptable behavior. The media was not prepared to deal with a Presidential Politician who lied so often, with such big lies. The ones that broke away, after years, and don't repeat his lies except to call them out, are the only ones worth following.
Trump lies, but he does leak the truth at times, and if we watch closely he tells us who he is and what he wants to do.
Republicans, like the Democrats, are a coalition. Republicans include the haters of immigrants, LGBTQ, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Scientists, every color except White... Religious 'fundamentalists' (meaning, every teachings except those of Christ himself). Gun companies and the owners taught to be afraid of the government taking their guns away. And the very greedy, very rich people with LOTS of money to give to politicians, including helping them get elected.
For years they sold that they were moral. That they were good for business. Anti-fraud, Anti-waste, pro-efficiency, Anti-Fraud. They sold that rich people were not greedy and were the only ones who could be trusted. They sold that letting the rich keep more of their money, by reducing their taxes would boost the economy. They claimed they were loyal supporters of the Constitution. They claimed they were not racist and in fact it was the Democrats who were racist (at times claiming Democrats were racist against Whites and other times racist against Blacks and others). They claimed that a Business man should run the nation, because politicians were not to be trusted and Business men would be efficient and effective. The one thing they were truthful about was their holy crusade against abortions, and yet even here they lied when claiming they cared about 'life', while ignoring all the harm and deaths their policies caused, never following through once the babies were born.
A lot of people bought the lies, including the lies they were told about economics and Democrats. Lots of people got sucked in by the propaganda media owned by very wealthy people.
Now, with Trump proving daily every one of those claims was a lie, a mask they wore, just so they could grab the power they desired, many people are waking up. It is hard to accept you bought into lies for not just years, but your whole life. It is hard to accept the people who you were told were evil and agents of the devil were actually the good people. To finally get clued into evidence that was directly counter to what their Conservative media, their beloved president himself was telling them.
These people will want to fall back into the comfortable beliefs they had held their whole life, but Trump will make that difficult, because he will keep doing worse things, because he is deathly afraid of losing power and going to jail. Trump is a brain damaged, self centered old man and will do everything he can to avoid the will of the people. Those people who support him even after they know the truth, will like Trump, escalate out of desperation, because they can feel their one chance at power is slipping away.
I think I'm seeing some of the escalation in social media. Since the Pettri shooting, support of ICE is louder, more violent, more racist, more everything. On Facebook, posts from local TV stations about student protests are attracting a couple thousand posts each, even in smallish towns like South Bend and Fort Wayne, Indiana. To me it appears to be an obvious organized effort to ridicule and diminish student protests that cannot have been organized overnight. I know it's organized by the repetition and lack of variety in their snarling, from one city and state to another. I've checked the profiles of dozens of the hecklers and they're not bots. As a genealogist I've spot checked a few and the person in the profile exists. In most cases they're responding to a protest at a single school are are joined by residents of the city which makes the average person reluctant to comment on controversial topics, especially in a negative way, but in this instance, it's not deterring them. It is interesting that their past posts on Facebook do not show aggressive political posts. Yes there are a few elephants memes, and friends who who are more involved in MAGA, but of those I checked, mostly in Indiana, instead of the usual MAGA with fish, motorcycles or guitars between their legs, I found middleclass grandmothers in church clothes with the usual handful of friends and photos of family gatherings. Since I am one I'm familiar with the norm. It was interesting to note that few have filtered to conceal prior posts or friends. That might suggest the entire profile was carefully assembled by pros, or that it really is grandma and she isn't experienced enough with posting politicized views to know how to filter information. I've had a personal experience with kids that age and voting, so know the likelihood of them bringing their passion to the polls is small, but the time to be bringing them in is now, not just when it's time to get them registered. I wish the left had been ready for this and hope it's not too late.

Performance is the point for Trump, but his accomplices have a damaging and sadistic agenda. Lose-lose for us.
Not sure what "Performance" you are referring to.

All oxymorons.
Plethysmographic and cheap low abduction of others money ~ always has been & always will be.
