Donald Trump promised a brief 2-to-3-week conflict and a 60-day deadline to conclude negotiations with Iran. That deadline has now expired with no nuclear deal reached and the Strait of Hormuz remaining largely closed to international oil trade.
Speaker Mike Johnson faced questions regarding how Republicans plan to defend their House majority as energy prices escalate due to Trump’s Iran war. Rather than addressing economic concerns directly, Johnson praised the American military.
Former television host Natalie Harp previously substituted Donald Trump quotes for Bible verses on air before taking a role in the White House. Her intense personal letters to the president are evidence of an advisor who flatters Trump no matter what.
When asked about Senator Jon Ossoff’s comments regarding aide Natalie Harp, Donald Trump launched into a multi-minute response concerning ballroom construction and drone ports. He never mentioned Harp by name or addressed the nature of their working relationship.
Donald Trump repeatedly interrupted reporter Kristen Holmes, labeled her fake news, and attempted to involve a young guest in criticizing her. He claimed that anyone opposing his planned White House ballroom lacks loyalty to the United States.
During a meeting honoring a young rescue hero, Donald Trump was photographed holding a staff-prepared card featuring photos and biographical information for the attendees. Critics previously cited Joe Biden’s use of identical note cards as evidence of cognitive decline.
Donald Trump requested and returned a mail-in ballot in Palm Beach County for the primary election. While the White House cited his busy schedule and travel as valid reasons for absentee voting, the move is hypocritical given his frequent attacks on mail voting systems nationwide.
Finally, after Donald Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC over an edited video clip of his speech, defense attorneys sought testimony and documents from Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner. Trump’s legal team criticized the move as an abusive tactic, despite it being standard discovery practice in civil litigation.
