Yes, we need MUCH better guard rails, not just on his physical and mental health, but on his behavior as well. SCOTUS failed us because it has become too politicized. It no longer has credibility as it is. Congress has lost credibility because it has become too much controlled by the money and by the minority of the party that is most 'motivated'.
Certainly obviously Republicans, but too many Democrats have been influenced by the money in politics as well. It has become common to note how much money is raised, and people with deep pockets always get more 'access'.
We can solve both, with some political will and acknowledgment we can not fix our system to address the needs of our people until we take the money out of politics and the politics out of our courts.
Good luck on that. How about releasing and having ones taxes and financial records audited independently first. Trump somehow blew passed that. Then when he became Pres. he also became the boss of the IRS commissioner.
This is a basic requirement for every other high level official yet he was exempted. To this date his taxes are still being audited, hah.
So if he does not comply with standards NOW in effect, good luck adding others.
Frankly, I think you have to be insane to run for office, so not sure what the mental qualification would look like for professional liars.
Obviously, absolutely no one loves Trump, not even his own family or his most devout sycophant enablers. When my grandfather displayed these symptoms, his loving family intervened and cared for him. It appears Trump has been left to deal with his dementia and syphilitic brain disease all on his own. The devil is already piling up the charcoal for his future resting place.
In defense of the White House covering up or trying to cover up Trump‘s health, they usually don’t want adversaries to know the kind of shape the president is in.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump were to day before the year is over. Maybe he will be gone by summer but his death is not going to solve all the problems we’re facing. This assault on the republic and democracy started long before Donald Trump and every president before was complicit except for maybe Jimmy Carter but back then America was a democracy.
Hopefully someday we can find out how most of the 250+ Repubs and the 6 Inferior Court injustices stood by and assisted this charade and perversion of democracy. Add to that all the corporate whores that continue to finance this insanity. Whose country is this?
I know greed has no limits, but you would think some would have a tinge of conscience. Are Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger the only true patriots we have left?
Maybe the thing to do with these cowardly and criminal Republicans is to make them an offer that they can’t refuse. They either straighten out and fly right and serve only the American people and give up all the bribes they’ve gotten and report to prison Or they will end up having to deal with something much worse than a prison cell. Let them know that they will be safer in prison.
The Republican legislators who were elected by their constituents to put their community's welfare ahead of political interests are coconspirators in this coverup and will carry the responsibility, if not actual accountability, for the damage being done by this demented man. If he carries through on his threat to tear down the Kennedy Center, his legacy will be two gaping holes in the ground where once stood monuments to true American greatness. Those gaping wholes will also be a metaphor for what the Trump Republican party is doing to our democracy, our economy, our national security, and the very idea of what it means to be an American.
Speaking from experience, I think those cognitive tests are useless. My former (elderly) landlord started mentally and physically deteriorating in 2015, then worsened by the year. I alerted his siblings and Adult Protective Services (APS) more times than I can count.
Each time APS visited him, they gave him cognitive tests, which he passed. He also put on a good front to the few family members who occasionally saw him, so they dismissed my concerns. Last February, his condition had deteriorated so badly that he was finally hospitalized, then spent the next few months in various care facilities until he died...of Alzheimers.
Thank you. You pretty well nailed how USA is unable to handle cognitive decline. Professionals do not live with them nor see them in real life. So a few minutes interview and a test probably does not work. Frankly many of us could not pass their memory tests, yet function okay. No telling how many with impairment are still driving. Took my dad to the point of a car accident to come to terms with it. When someone cannot tell the difference in the brake and the accelerator, it may be too late,
People guard their independence and it is a fight to tell them otherwise.
Picture a trump puppet with strings leading up to step-on miller. Second thought: where are his handlers? Power of Attorney, Health Proxey, etc. someone designated to take over when his mind fails. His wife and children don’t seem interested.
IT'S NOT SOON ENOUGH. DON'T MATTER DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO it. JUST SHOVEL that 💩💩💩 AWAY AND OUT, GIVE it To it's buddy the FOREIGNER ELON FROM AFRICA TO SEND it THAT FAR OR FURTHER AWAY.
Purrsonally I don't care. We need guard rails for someone who, clearly, is dealing with dementia and psychosis due to a secondary STD.
That's what needs to be said.

TOO LATE IS FINE WITH ME. AS LONG AS ITS A TERMINAL DX

I still have my unopene tequila and waiting...
The words of Oscar Wilde definitely apply to Trump.. " some men only improve the world by leaving it".
What would be "too late"? (After he nukes India or Israel or Iceland thinking it's Iran?)
I agree. Too late could be tomorrow. We need to get Trump out of office ASAP!

Keep in mind the Dems were happy with Diane Feinstein being wheeled into Senate and told how to vote. Then stood by and watched Biden's decline.
More political hypocrisy and proof that Congress, the courts and the White House does not serve the American people.

donnie🇷🇺 casket fitting, 2026!!!
I honestly don't give a damn about his health!! Someone feed him more McD's, KFC, Burger King, etc.

This is an illegal regime. Article 2 section 4 remove them all.

Of course. He’ll most likely be de@d for days before it’s leaked that he’s “ill”.
The sooner the better regardless.
That’s not a weave. It’s a comb-over.
I think it’s made of fiberglass now.
